There was a time in my life that I did not like birds. I've never been a morning person and it seemed that I was always "fortunate" enough to have a tree or bush right outside my window where the birds would sing their little hearts out at 7 or 8 in the morning. Considering I was planning on sleeping in until noon, this would infuriate me! I never understood how people actually enjoyed waking up to the sound of chirping birds.
Well now that I'm older and have children who wake me up bright and early, I really enjoy observing and hearing our little feathered friends. As a matter of fact, I'm planning for bird houses and feeders at our new house. I love taking photos of them. Huh. Who knew?!

nice! You were lucky, my birds wake me up at 4:30 am.
I think I am able to tune them out at that time. I would not be a happy girl waking up at 4:30 am. Bird lover or not.
Loving your birdie pics!
Are you using a zoom lens?
The birds are so brightly coloured.
I don't have interchangeable lenses on my camera. It's a Canon Powershot SX10IS. It's got a fairly powerful zoom for it's type of camera. (20x Optical zoom) I wasn't too far away for these shots though, so they came out pretty clear. I was standing maybe 20-25 feet away from the tree. (Sorry... American's and our stupid refusal to use the metric system)
great pictures love the yellow bird
Thank you, Cheery!
