Here are a few shots taken on our family bike ride the other day. My daughter passes by this horse (and it's friends) on her bus ride to school each day and is always talking about "the horses" so it was fun to get a few up close and personal photos for her.

Zeus! And I say this with the best intentions knowing I'm not supposed to swear (but am a fokken Finn, and I spell it differently) Your pics are fokken awesome. Beautiful. Different. Cant find the right words.
This is your job, right?
Thank you! I love how you spell fok. I'm stealing it, because it makes it seem like I'm only kind of swearing. :) No, it's not my job. It's my hobby. My favorite hobby. My job is mother/student/once-a-week retail sales person, so I can get a discount on clothes. But I could kiss your Finnish face for thinking it's my job!
Love the pics, especially the one with the tree!!
Do you photo shop them, or is it the lens on your camera that makes them so great?
wow, what beautiful views. great photos as usual!
Very nice set here Erin...I like the tree!
Thank you everyone! I love the tree, too.
Fidgeting- I do edit my photos to doctor them up. Maybe one of these days, I'll take the time to learn how to make my camera do everything it's capable of, but until then, I'll continue to use my editing skills to be a big faker! :)
Well done Erin. I love the cropping, very nice.
What a compliment :)
And deserved!!!
these pictures are stunning, Erin!! How did you make the corners rounded like that? It looks like you had a filter on the lens, too! or is that photoshop? Either way, awesome job!
Thanks for the thoughts, Erin. We're doing fine and it seems the fire has mostly passed. Fog came in over the weekend and helped a lot.
The tree is very cool--a tree leaning like that is a pretty strange sight. I think it's clever how you included the grass in the foreground instead of just the lake, it gives it more depth and a better balance of color.
Thanks, Jess. My camera isn't fancy enough for cool lenses. Maybe someday...
I do edit my photos for the artistic effects. The rounded corners is an effect that mimics the look and feel of old 60's and 70's era photographs. It's one of my favorites to use.
Chris- So glad to hear you're doing well. And thanks! That tree was so cool! I snapped a couple with a closer shot of the tree, but it lost some of it's lean close up. Your eye started to correct nature's "error", so I included the grass to make definite horizontal line making sure the viewer got the full effect of the leaning tree. :)
Thank you, Chapa!
